Bright Futures
Welcome to Grover Heights Bright Futures!
Grover Heights Bright Futures After-School Program is funded by an ASES grant. This grant enables us to offer enrichment classes in an academic setting, aligned with the school day, from school dismissal to 6:00PM daily - all free of charge and in a safe environment. However, in order to receive these benefits, the grant requires full participation in the program (attend everyday until 6:00 pm with check out starting at 5:30pm). Bright Futures is an academic enrichment program, not a day-care program. To check on your Bright Futures enrollment status, please contact the Bright Futures secretary: [email protected].
Homework Policy
Bright Futures provides a safe environment for after school classes, both academic and enrichment. Offering a block of time to work on homework is a vital element of the program. Bright Futures provides a safe, productive, academically-based atmosphere in which students can start on their homework. Although the Bright Futures staff does offer assistance to students, it is not responsible for private homework tutoring, correcting, or checking the completion of all homework assigned. The primary goal of the staff is to establish a productive atmosphere during the homework block, not to provide instruction. Also, please make sure your student is prepared with their homework, homework folder, pencil, crayons, and any other supplies they may need to complete their homework. If you wish for you child to do their homework at home, please send them with an alternate workbook or reading book. Please check for completion and correctness of the homework when your child comes home. If you fell they need further academic support or tutoring, please contact Bright Futures.
